Due to the fact that it is CHRISTMAS WEEK! I thought I would take all my holiday joy and happiness and give a few pointers on how to STAY HAPPY after the buzz of the holidays wares off.
Ok students here we go….
Number 1: Start a grateful journal. Take at least 5 minutes every morning and declare what you are thankful for. Count your blessings, name them one by one.
2. Talking about our problems is our greatest addiction. Break the habit. Talk about your joys (Refer back to #1).
3. Utilize the HUG RULE. Scientific research tells us that hugs lasting 20 seconds or more are proven to increase levels of oxytocin (a happy hormone.)
4. Find your smile. As the sun is breaking through the window and the waft of coffee is at your nose, in these wee small moments of the morning, find your smile.
5. Exercise. For at least 20 minutes a day, take part in some type of activity. While exercising, your body releases endorphins which interact with the receptors in your brain triggering a positive feeling in your body.
*Studies show that being happy has an extreme impact on your level of health. STAY HAPPY. LIVE HAPPY.
